The MAYER Flap is a specialized procedure designed for patients with extensive frontal baldness. This technique restores a full head of hair with your own natural density, not plugs or artificial implants.

A second flap may be recommended for more widespread baldness
A Tissue Expander is placed beforehand to prepare the scalp
After the flap, we recommend Micrografts at the hairline to soften and blend the final result

SCALP REDUCTION

For patients with frontal hair loss, scalp reduction is often performed alongside a Hairline Forehead Lift to lower the hairline and improve facial proportions.

The scalp is surgically adjusted to advance the hairline
If the scalp lacks elasticity, a Tissue Expander may be placed beneath the hair-bearing area
The expander is slowly filled over time, stretching the scalp until enough tissue is available for proper hairline positioning

This technique allows for natural placement of the hairline, especially in cases where simple advancement isn't possible.
