Lack of fullness in the lips can be an inherited characteristic or the result of the aging process. Fat Augmentation will make the lips look fuller and softer. In about half of the patients who have Lip Augmentation, the result is permanent; in the other patients, the fat is gradually absorbed and the lips return to their original shape in 6 months to 1 year.
Your lips are “over-corrected” with fat so that the body does not reabsorb your correction. You will have a little “Daffy Duck” look for a couple of weeks; however, the result of that augmentation is very pleasing and also very supple because it is your own body fat.

Although Fat Augmentation will not replace other cosmetic procedures such as facelifts, forehead and eyebrow lifts or chemical peels, it will soften depressions, fill furrows and frown lines, and improve contour problems.
